This is kind of blowing my mind right now.

Things have been kind of quiet on here of late because I have been working on a lot of school stuff (such as teaching myself After Effects and PD), as well as for some upcoming shows. I will post the details for the shows when I have them, as well as info about my trip to Europe this summer for the Venice Biennale, Art Basel, Documenta, and Skulptur Münster.

Kurt Vonnegut died yesterday. I remember the summer when I was 15, reading Cat’s Cradle and from that becoming inspired to read almost all of the rest of his books over the next couple of months. I’m sad to see him go.

I went out to Soul Night at the Knockout Club this weekend, where I really like going, because more often than not the bartenders there give me free Cokes. I don’t know why it is that this place does it more than others, but I like it. But the rest of the weekend was spent catching up on homework, which means drawing. Yeah for art school.

I have my portfolio up finally, which you can get to on the sidebar or here.  I am still in the process of going through, and scanning in my old 35mm black and whites, so the black and white section will be getting some more updates soon, but I will post when that happens.

So, one more Christmas down. Well, almost. My Grandma (in the picture above) came down with a stomach flu, which the rest of the family has caught. While it is not fun being sick, it has given me some time to work on this site, and get a bunch of work done. That, and watch lots and lots of Law and Order. Gotta love that Law and Order.

The end of the year seems like an appropriate time to begin something new, so here we are. As I am still working on learning Wordpress, this will be a short post, not quite what I am aiming for in the future, but something more of a placeholder. I hope in the near future to have this blog going, along with my art portfolio. It’s a work in progress so stay tuned!
